We know this is a fashionable catchcry, so how do we apply these principals? We believe that timber is a durable, natural building material, which should be used to its best advantage. It took years to grow, and will last many years if treated and maintained properly. Timber has inherent beauty, which we believe should be enhanced, not covered over. At Churton Pacific, we believe timber must be protected from deterioration
using environmentally, non-toxic products, which work from deep within.
Our product range is based on our Timber Protection and Staining Philosophy.
Churton Pacific has a range of products for cleaning and preparing timber surfaces, and for protecting and enhancing the natural beauty and character of timber. We do not believe in protecting timber by coating the surface in a film forming product. Firstly, films and coatings hide the natural beauty of the timber. More importantly, there is the risk that surface films can break down and become ineffective, due to the effects of the weather and harsh sunlight. Our approach is to use products which penetrate deep into the timber to protect it from within, maintaining its structure and shape (dimensional stability), while accentuating the natural grain and characteristics of the timber surface. Older timber should not be discarded. In many cases the natural beauty can be restored, and it can be given protection to lengthen its useful life. Restoration of old timber using our cleaning and preparation products, followed by our protective products will give amazing results.
